ＦＯＯＴＰＲＩＮＴＳ（足跡）

～Footprint in the Sand～　
猪苗代湖（湖南町から）

　　　One night man had a dream.
　　　He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
　　　Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
　　　For each scene，he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand
　　　:one belonging to him，and the other to the Lord.

　　　When the last scean of his life flashrd before him，
　　　he looked back at the footprintts in the sand.
　　　He noticed that many times along the path of life there was only one set of footprints.
　　　He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
　　　This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

　　　"Lord，you said that once I decided to follow You，
　　　You’d walk with me all the way.
　　　But I have noticed that during the most troublesome time in my life，
　　　there is only one set of hootprints.
　　　I don’t understand why when I needed You most You would leave me."

　　　The Lord replied， "My son， my precious child，
　　　I love you and would never leave you.
　　　During your times of trial and suffering，
　　　when you see only one set of hootprints，
　　　it was then that I carried you."

　～足跡～
　ある夜、一人の人が夢を見た。それは、彼が主とともに砂浜を歩いている夢だった。
　すると、今までの彼の人生が走馬灯のように空に映し出された。
　そこには砂浜を歩く二組の足跡があった。一つは彼のもの、一つは主のもの。
　そのシーンの最後のほうで、砂浜にある足跡を振り返って見てみた。
　彼は、長い間、一組の足跡しかないときがあることに気付いた。　　　　　　　　　
　それはちょうど、彼の人生に問題がおこり、辛く悲しいときだった。
　彼は、主に聞いた。
　「主よ、あなたは、私の人生を共に歩んで下さると言ったじゃないですか？
　　なのに、私が、辛く苦しいとき、一組の足跡しかありませんでした。
　　どうして、私が一番あなたを必要としていたときに、
　　私と一緒にいて下さらなかったのですか？」　　　　　　
　主は答えられた。
　「私の息子。私の大切な子供。私はあなたを愛している。
　　私は、あなたから離れてはいない。
　　あなたが辛く大変だったとき、一組の足跡しかなかったのは
　　私があなたを背負い、歩いたからなのだよ。」
